Out and Abouters
The Out and Abouters organise monthly outings to places of photographic interest.
Our outings are held on the second Saturday of each month, with just a few exceptions, where this date clashes with another camera club event. On these occasions, they are normally held on the first Saturday in the month. Our venues are displayed in the club’s programme and all members, their partners and friends, are most welcome.
These outings are very sociable and informal affairs, with breaks for morning coffee and lunch, providing an opportunity to talk cameras and photography. It also presents an opportunity to get to know our fellow members. The venues are locations reasonably close to Selsdon, reached by car or public transport. National Trust and similar properties are visited, together with walks in London and adjacent towns.
These outings were started some ten years ago now, when a group of new members formed the ‘Fairly New Group’ to go out together to take photographs. The group was soon joined by other members and it then became known as the ‘Out and Abouters’.
